Football has become a worldwide phenomenon and the most popular sport in the world. Therefore, the target of becoming a football player has become a popular choice even though it’s extremely hard to achieve.
The journey to try to make it as a professional football player is one that many attempts, wanting to follow in the footpaths of their favourite football players.
The most common route to becoming a football player is through academy football. Most professional football clubs operate youth football academies to nurture young talent in the hope of creating the next John Obi Mikel or Peter Osaze Odemwingie.
What Is A Football Academy?
A football academy is a facility set up to develop young footballers.
It’s most often thought of as a training school to teach young players how to play football, to meet the club’s specific standards.
Most elite-level football clubs in Nigeria have an academy to produce players to:
- Develop into first-team players
- Become a reserve or squad player.
Pepsi Football Academy Registration Form
If you wish to register for the Pepsi Football Academy, you need to introduce yourself to the coaches at any Pepsi Football Academy training centres. From there you will be asked some questions before being given the registration form for joining the academy. The forms should be filled out and returned to the centre.
Documents To Be Submitted Along With The Forms
- The original and photocopy of the applicant’s birth certificate.
- Three passport photographs of the applicant and one passport photograph of one of the parents.
- Photocopies of applicants’ school results.
- Applicants who have completed their secondary school education and their Senior Secondary School Certificates Examination such as WAEC or NECO should come along with their results. Applicants should have at least five credits in Mathematics, English Language, and any three other subjects.
- Applicant medical reports/history.

Pepsi Football Academy Registration Fees
Applicants are required to make payment of the fees at the bank. Bank details are to be requested at the training centre.
The Registration Fee For The Ages Of 5 To 14 Years
- Registration: 1,000 Naira
- Quarterly Fees: 2,000 Naira
- Training Uniform: 2,000 Naira
- Identity Card: 500 Naira
- Training Bag: 500 Naira
- Total Fee: 6,000 Naira
Registration Fee For The Ages Of 15 Years And Above
- Registration: 3,000 Naira
- Quarterly Fees: 3,000 Naira
- Training Uniform: 3,000 Naira
- Identity Card: 500 Naira
- Training Bag: 500 Naira
- Maintenance Fee: 2,000 Naira
- Total Fee: 12,000 Naira
